Very merry Santas of all shapes and sizes have been parading through London and spreading Christmas cheer
THOUSANDS of boozy Santas have taken to the streets of London for this year’s SantaCon.
The massive event, part parade, part pub crawl, sees revellers dress up as Father Christmas for a VERY merry parade with plenty of mulled wine.
Santas of all shapes and sizes have been partying across the city since 12pm, spreading Christmas cheer at locations including Canary Wharf, Liverpool Street Station, the Bank of England and Tottenham Court Road.
People dressed as elves, crackers, Christmas trees and even DOGS dressed up as Santa joined in the fun, which is expected to go on into the wee hours.
The annual event is described as a “nonsensical Christmas parade” with Santas are encouraged to bring “naughty gifts for grown ups, like coal and brussel sprouts” and “nice gifts for children, like sweets”.
But be warned: if you bring Rudolph, “it’s your responsibility to obtain the necessary flight permissions from the UK Civil Aviation Authority.”
Santas get very merry in London for SantaCon parade
Organisers warn Santas to keep the streets of London litter-free, take regular bathroom breaks and not to “let Christmas cheer become another’s grief.”
Santas are warned not to throw brussel sprouts and to be sensible about alcohol – as “Babysitting Santa while they vomit in an alley just isn’t Christmas.”
